Sound quality seems to get the short straw these days. Lots of suppliers with “all the gear, no idea”. That is where we differ.

We are musicians and love going to see live music, and want it to sound good.

When we are engineering, we get the sound we want to hear when we go see a band.

Technical detail can be provided if needs be, but our investment has in sound equipment has followed three key principles:

Extremeley high-quality sound reproduction

The speakers we have invested in are amongst the best quality money can by. As operate as a small team, we have selected equipment that can be managed by a single person, but the quality still remain extraordinary.

High-end production quality for large community festivals.

We know we won’t be delivering the sound for Glastonbury anytime soon, and that’s fine!.

But we realised the community and local festival space was lacking high-quality sound and lighting by people that actually cared. We could have invested in a Reading-Festival sized mixing desks, but we’d have to charge for it. Instead, we invested in similarly high-quality and similarly flexible, but something smaller scale, and pass on the cost saving to the community.

Just because its a local event doesn’t mean it can’t sound polished and produced like a ‘proper’ gig or festival. Modern equipment and people that care can easily deliver this, so if you last event just sounded like a pub band but lounder, then give us a call.

Steve Robinson

Our founder, Director and lead live production engineer is a lifelong musician, worked in Broadcasting, Film, and TV for 18 years, worked in the studio with several bands you have heard of, and hates a bad show that could be so easily so much better! His sound & lighting creativity, attention to detail, and fast-thinking problem solving are second to none.

Robert Sowden

Rob is a life long singer/song-writer and previous vocalist of genre-leading shoe-gaze outfit Arena. He also runs to logest running independent OpenMic night in the UK (since 1993!) and engineers a wide verity of outside across the UK including running main stage at BBC Gardeners World Live fayres. This give him 2 key benefits to our clients:

1. The words count.
   Melody is important, but words COUNT and must heard. Being able to ‘hear’ the voice and ‘understand‘ the words (without being over bearing) are two different things. Hearing the words clearly without excessive volume is critical to it sounding like a ‘pro’ event.
2. As a life-long performer, Rob understands the importance of the on-stage sound for the musicians. If they cant hear themselves, their performance will be nervous, and lack-lustre.

David Honour

Dave is an extraordinary multi-instrumentalist with a eye for detail, creativity in genres you didn’t even know existed, an ear for quality, and the technical experience to deliver it.

Even better than that, Dave’s expertise extends beyond music into advanced IT – where much of advanced modern music tech lives. For our largest events with 30,000 people across multiple days, Dave ensures that 300+ traders, staff, the media, celebrities, and VIP have reliable internet access while in the middle of knowwhere

Sophie Arnell

A recent graduate from Reading College, Sophie cares about a band putting on a show, and has the experience to make it happen. Her final training before going to Brighton University was as assistant engineer at the legendary Purple Turtle in Reading, where every night chaos ensued, and she delivered a great show regardless of who or what turned up.
